From
beautiful sandy beaches to historic castles, activity centered action
to walking with dinosaurs, sailing on the waterway to golfing, leisure
parks to walking the coastal path this area of South Pembrokeshire
has it all! Everything that any holidaymaker could ever want plus
a micro climate which enhances your chances of CATCHING A FEW RAYS.
In fact you might just fall in love with Pembrokeshire life and
choose to move here permanently!!
Beaches in abundance! Freshwater East on your doorstep - long &
crescent shaped with Fresh Adventure activities for sailing, kayaking
and windsurfing all at hand.
Tenby north & south, Broadhaven, Barafundle (voted Britains
most beautiful beach in June 2004) and Freshwater West for surfing.
These are just a few.
Castles a plenty! Visit Manorbier, Carew and the massive Pembroke
with Tudor dynasty links. There's also the cathedral and Bishop's
Palace at St David's. The list goes on and on!
For kids of all ages there's The Dinosaur
Park, Heatherton Activity centre, Folly Farm, Pemberton's chocolate
factory (yum! yum!) Oakwood Leisure Park, golf courses, leisure
centres, museums, boat trips, cycle paths everywhere!. You can even
sail to Ireland twice a day with Irish Ferries from Pembroke Dock.
You have a boat? No problem there's 26 miles of sheltered waterway
on the Milford Haven for boating, water skiing, fishing and just
plain fun.
Green activities are well catered for as we live in or are surrounded
by the Pembrokeshire National Park and you can even go off shore
to the islands and watch the seals! Walk the coastal path (though
probably not all in one day as it is quite long) seeing the flora
& fauna. There's also been significant development work carried
out on the cycle paths around the whole area.
With all this fresh sea air and activity you will probably be hungry
and thristy and to cater there are cafes, bars, restaurants and
children friendly pubs galore. Watch the sunset from pub beergardens
on the waterway or visit one of the top restaurants in the country,
the Plantagenet in Tenby. At the village you have the "Longhouse
" bar/restaurant newly constructed offering fine dining and
quick snacks throughout the day in summer along with evening entertainment.
